The Mass Youth Wrestling Association...Has a Youth State Wrestling Tournament Series that is open to all our 8th grade wrestlers...This is a great opportunity to see how you stack up against other 7th and 8th grade wrestlers in the state.  The South sectional tournament is in Hanover on Sunday Feb 15th.  The top 4 wrestlers (per weight class) in that tournament will qualify for the State Championship.......................  Coach Mark Barett will be there and has offered to coach any of the kids who decide to go.................................Click below for details and registration

Barnstable Takes 2 Top Spots at the Weymouth Tournament

The Red Raider's were without  a 138, 170 or 182 but still held their own

Mike Botello, Sophmore at 126 was undefeated and took 1st place
Owen Murray, Junior at Heavyweight was undefeated and took 1st place

THE RED RAIDERS TAKE DOWN DURFEE ..35 TO 34

It all came down to the heavyweights..Durfee was winning the meet 34 to 32..Owen Murray against Andre Torres and the match did not disappoint. A Low scoring battle that went into triple OT with Owen Murray winning the match 2-1 and securing the Red Raiders victory who now stand at 7-4-1

We would also like to make sure the team is well supported at this meet...so talk to family and friends and get as as many people in the gym as possible...The team has been working very hard and they deserve  good fan support..Wear your Raiders Red to show your support!!!

The Jan 2nd Durfee Meet has been rescheduled to Wednesday Jan 15th at Durfee

Barnstable Succeeds even with a few things against them....First, the weather, at one point the tournament was thought to be canceled but then it wasn't .  No Problem...Were still going! Second, A communication error and no bus to take the boys to Whitman Hanson , No Problem...Car Pool.. Third, forced to forfeit 3 weight classes and send only 11 wrestlers instead of 14.  No problem..everyone stepped up!

Barnstable locks down 4 first place spots, 2 fourth place spots, and 1 fifth place spot!
