Although there was not very much to cheer about last night ....Barnstable was able to find two bright spots in a dual meet that was all Silver-lake

 132 pound eighth grader Drew Valentine stepped up and battled his opponent back-and-forth until he finally got the pin it was an impressive battle especially because Drew was not scheduled to start in the varsity slot....  he stepped up at the last minute and proved that he is  A true team player and an up-and-coming wrestler to watch 

 Senior captain Mike Bertucci also wrestled an impressive match at one point he was down by four points or more and he continued to battle and he also got the pin in the final period

 Those two pins and one forfeit were the only points that Barnstable could put together 

 Barnstable is scheduled to have a rematch against Silverlake at the end of the month at a quad meet...and will be looking for some redemption

Barnstable is hoping to have a full lineup on Saturday when they travel to Sandwich high school for the Cape Cod invitational
